About Coach Putnam

 

After my days of competing, I was assistant coach at Palomar College and earned a bachelors in kinesiology and teaching credential from Cal State San Marcos.  As head coach of Track and Cross Country, our programs at Mission Hills and Vista High Schools consistently improved, including ten boys under a 5 minute mile in 2019, a girl running 4:55, and winning eight team championship titles in ten years.  I'm certified with USA Track & Field Level II in Endurance Events.  I've also been teaching Physical Education since 2011 and currently at Kreinhop Elementary in Klein, Texas. I assisted my sons team to third place in 2022 and first place in the 2024 Texas Homeschool Championships. My wife and I moved our family to Texas in 2021 and you might see our kids out training with us!
